document build procedures

For those who are not familiar with your build procedures, at least provide
-- a list of the main toolchain requirements (maven ...)
-- command line(s) to build each project
-- command line(s) to build the HelloWorld example in the README.md file.

These things are not obvious at all, to developers whose background isn't the same as yours.
